Help build international impact with data and digital know-how
Do you want to use your analytical and digital skills for an organization that has been connecting young people worldwide for over 70 years? Are you looking for a role where you get real responsibility, can learn by doing, and make a societal impact? Then this Digital Content & Analytics role at SIW is for you.
About SIW
SIW International Volunteer Projects is a Dutch non-profit organization, for volunteers, by volunteers. We bring people from all over the world together to work on local projects: from nature restoration to social initiatives. At SIW, it is all about discovering, growing, and collaborating outside your own bubble.
What we made possible last year:
- 140 international youth active in projects in the Netherlands
- 98 Dutch young people on a volunteer project abroad
- 126 participants in Erasmus+ training courses
Your role
As Digital Content & Analytics Volunteer, your main objective is to help SIW understand what works online and turn those insights into a better website and stronger social media. You translate data into clear insights and practical improvements.
What are you going to do?
Website analytics
- Monitor website traffic and visitor behavior
- Identify which pages perform well and where visitors drop off
- Share insights and recommendations with the team
Social media analytics
- Track engagement and performance across our social media channels
- Report on trends and what content resonates with our audience
Website content
- Update and maintain content on the website
- Make sure information is accurate, clear, and up to date
- Improve pages based on what the data shows
What do you learn in this role?
- Turning data into decisions within an NGO context
- Strategic thinking and execution
- Working with (international) volunteers
- Building marketing with limited resources but a lot of creativity
What are you bringing?
- Affinity with data, digital marketing, and social impact
- An analytical mindset and a feel for what the numbers are telling you
- Experience with website analytics, social media insights, or a website CMS (a plus, not a must)
- An eye for accuracy and detail
- Comfort working within a small, international volunteer team
- Availability of approximately 2–4 hours per week
Experience with analytics is nice, but we find motivation, curiosity, and ownership more important than a perfect CV.
What do you get in return?
- Meaningful experience within an international non-profit organization
- A strong (international) network
- Freedom to experiment and develop yourself
- Hybrid working from home or our office in central Utrecht
- Option to join international volunteer projects and Erasmus+ trainings
This is a volunteer position with no salary. Travel and out-of-pocket expenses are of course reimbursed.
